Dear Mr. Carter,
Why do you lie? Why bring us, your fans, such despair and false hope? After five years of pure lies and manipulation, you finally released your third studio album. You’ve postponed albums, canceled tours, and straight-up scrapped certain projects, and for what? Why does the way that you want people to see you have to affect work that you put out. Why does the stigma of you being “mysterious” and “aura” impact your honesty and integrity for your fans? As we listen to your newest album “I AM MUSIC” we question, Was the wait really worth it? Is Kendrick really your Evil Twin?
We want honesty, transparency, and we want you to love us like your children. We understand how that way was a pretty good marketing plan but was the money you got worth hurting your fans? We are not the only people that feel like this Mr Carter, The New York Times themselves noticed this. “In the almost five years since the release of “Whole Lotta Red,” Playboi Carti’s second studio album, the Atlanta rapper graduated from a potentially influential internet curio to a full-blown, era-defining headliner.” (Is Playboi Carti Rap’s Next or Last Superstar Hosted by Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarlli First paragraph) Five years for you to drop another Album just for what? Your Aura? “That is, in part, thanks to absence: canceled concerts, blown appearances and repeated, yearslong delays for his increasingly hyped follow-up to “Whole Lotta Red,” with a growing legion of obsessive fans saturing themselves instead by chasing every Carti-flavored online morsel, official and unofficial” (Is Playboi Carti Rap’s Next or Last Superstar Hosted by Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarlli Third paragraph) You canceled shows and your fans were very eager to meet you. You have lied to us for the last time Jordan Carter, We deserve an Apology. An apology for the Lies, for playing us. You have used us for the last time. Stop caring about your Aura for once and look at your fans. We are all happy and grateful you dropped an album but please Jordan Playboi Carter Carti, Please stop with these lies. “It’s been years since Playboi Carti first started teasing his third studio album, but the wait is finally over as the rapper has released the highly anticipated “Music.”” (Playboi Carti Releases New Album ‘Music’ With Features From Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, the Weeknd and More By Steven J. Horowitz, Ellise Shafer First Paragraph) It has been years Mr Carter, 5 years is a pretty long time. You Lied to us about releasing an album for 5 years to the point you kept canceling concerts. We are hurt Mr Carter, We need an apology.
