America’s Regression- An Open Letter

By Jazlyn Tuason, Zoe Albarran, and Arianna Garcia

Dear President Trump,

We are writing this letter to you because your decisions have been questionable and irritable. When you had stated your plans about mass deportations, many had hoped and prayed that it would be criminals who committed crimes, such as murder, sexual assault, etc. However, your motives had proved to be selfish and racist. You’re separating innocent families who came here for a better life, families that work hard, harder than many Americans in this country. You deported the family of a little girl who was recovering from brain surgery! The family came out, sharing the abuse they faced by the deportation facilities! There are thousands of families trying to stop this and make President Trump understand that families should not be separated. Due to this many families live in fear of the possibility of being separated from their loved ones. You know what to say to cause anger and bring out a reaction from the opposing parties, and with that, you’re dividing society.

Other countries look at us, and feel pity. There is irony in this as you, the President of the United States, have committed tax fraud and potentially owe more than $100 million in taxes. Also, Mr. President you were a convicted felon. So what is a criminal to you? Are they hard working people who have come to this country for better opportunities? As a businessman, you would know the consequences of deporting these immigrants; no one picks the crops, blue collar workers are scarce. This negatively affects our economy, so why else would you do it?

Trump Has A Few Ways to Overturn His Conviction as a New York Felon”

Something that’s been constantly ignored by Trump’s supporters is the 34 convicted felony counts he has against him. His supporters voted in a convicted felon, someone who has allegations of sexual misconduct, and a known racist. When the 2025 presidency took place, a great deal of America, and many other countries, were rooting for Kamala, for their rights, for humanity. When Trump won, the world went silent, the winds were harsh. Almost as if it was an understanding of the damages to come. On Trump’s first day in the office, America started regressing. All the hard work that our ancestors did, all the rights and laws they fought for, being undone with the ink of a pen. The charges he has, the crimes he committed, they’re all being ignored for ‘lower prices’. He was inaugurated on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, if that wasn’t considered disrespectful to people, then the U.S. imperialism is falling apart.

The people of this country shouldn’t support a selfish individual like yourself, anyone who lacks empathy and compassion for others different from themselves. Just because they might be different doesn’t mean they are less or more than you. Everyone deserves freedom and equality. The election was rigged, you insulted that fact yourself. How this country lets you win is something I will never understand.
