Robert Quiroz is a security guard and coaches football and baseball at Azusa High School. He started his coaching career at the school Gladstone High School.

Robert Quiroz is a coach for the Azusa High School Football team and the Baseball team. Before coaching at Azusa he used to coach for Gladstone High School until the school became a middle school. But for now he is focused on helping kids grow and hopes one day to make the team a feared team in the Los Angeles county and hopes to contend for CIF.
What are your goals for the team?
Make sure they’re ready to go play for the next level.
What do you value in school teams?
I value all the hard work that everybody puts in because if they give their best that’s all that reason from anybody or anything.
What inspired your passion for football?
Playing in a former coaches the AD (athletic director) Albert Sanchez was my head football coach at class and high school when I play so I had to get a lot of good mentors
What inspired you to be a coach?
A lot of people my dad was a coach growing up and just like I said I had a lot of good mentors as coaches so it made me want to get back to that you, it’s really inspiring for me.
What was the process of becoming a coach at Azusa High
You have to go through some training so you got to go through a lot I’ve been coaching for many years different sports football soccer track and now I’m doing baseball I’m the head JV does baseball coach for the time being just takes a lot of patience and a lot of caring for the program.
What hopes do you have for the team next season?
That we surpassed of what we did the year before we just get better and better and better and just keep building on our program so we can come successful and make a big fan of this Valley,
How do you see the program in the next 10 years?
If we could get more in our foundation with the Freshman, get our freshman group bigger and let it get bigger than I’ll throw the program but just grow automatically.
