I guess I can see it from a business point of view, because he said the pick would be on him and not the GM. If you throw him in and use him to run the wildcat he has proved he can, somewhat. The coaching staff the Jags had at the time couldn't have figured out how to use him, so it's a non-factor.

David Garrard has proven to be a very durable quarterback, which allows the Jaguars to keep only two quarterbacks on the active roster and use that spot for another positional player that can contribute game day on special teams, rather than waste a spot for a third quarterback who is unlikely to ever see the field. A lot of teams with a durable starting quarterback take the same approach.

Bouman was the logical choice because he has been with the team in previous years and was familiar with the offensive scheme. He's not as good as McCown, but due to his knowledge of the Jaguars playbook, is the best option should Garrard go down with an injury.

Our best bet, however, is to pray Garrard can stay healthy for the entire season. He's maddeningly inconsistent, but he's out only hope until the Jaguars address the quarterback position in next year's draft.

McCown is the only consistent quarterback we have, now he is injured, how come we don't have a third backup? I hope this Bouman is as good or better than McCown.

In hindsight, I should have added a #6. "Cover #85. His name is Antonio Gates, not the invisible man, and he is the one player that needs to be accounted for on every play."

I think Greg Jones and Wilford are both gone. Wilford can't turn it on when the lights are on and Greg Jones is paid to much for being nothing but a blocking back. The only thing Greg Jones has going for him is the fact that he does have experience blocking for Jones-Drew and Del Rio likes him.

I want Underwood to be the final receiver, but after watching all of them drop balls last night I don't know who they should keep.
