Jacksonville Jaguars special teams ace Montell Owens is heading to Hawaii to represent the team in the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive year.
Owens, originally named an alternate to the AFC squad, takes a place on the roster in place of Matthew Slater of the New England Patriots. Slater, along with seven of his Patriots teammates, are no longer able to participate in the Pro Bowl due to their win in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.
Owens, who joins running back Maurice Jones-Drew in representing the Jaguars on the AFC squad, made quite an impression in his debut performance in the Pro Bowl last year, scoring two touchdowns and be involved in a third.
The Pro Bowl will be played Sunday, January 29.
